Suggested Migration Features

First of I would like to say I'm glade to see something new that has potential as a leading Hosting CP. Here is a list of things that might not be looked at right now but I think are important features for switching to a new CP, and managing multi server clusters.

1. Easy Migration Scripts. Web, Mail, Mysql
a. Within the cluster. Aka start of with one server expand to 2 then move web and DB to the new server leaving CP easily.
b. Migrations of domains from account to account
c. Migrations from other control panels
c-b. Easy migration from H-sphere. We use this and its good you will need a better panel and an easy migration for someone to change.

I'm sure we can come up with more.

Welcome to the forums! I know we chatted a bit last night via e-mail but I thought i'd post an official reply here.

Migration scripts are going to be key for this panel seeing as its a new product. That being said we are strictly focused on making our product work with itself to begin with. Our hopes are that we can get it deployed to a smaller group of web hosts, and iron out any obvious problems that beta might have missed. Then we would start working on migration tools based upon demand first.

Domains account to account will not be a difficult task to accomplish, I like that.

Because of the multi server system, as you are familiar with by using H-sphere, you are aware of the complications that come into play. These are really complications on "our" end. Once the thought process has been completed and code done properly, the complications really go away. We have pushed out a very large feature list for a version 1 product, and intend on growing that significantly more as time goes on.
